This section will provide helpful ideas and jumping off places to help you explore your dreams. Over the years people have developed many different approaches to dream exploration. There is no “one size fits all” approach to dream work, and no single interpretation or “answer” to a dream. I will use my dreams and other people’s dreams as examples. Since we have to remember and record dreams before we can explore them, I’ll start from the beginning with suggestions as to how to remember dreams.

Many examples of dreams, and the creativity sparked by these dreams, will be shared in this section, in hopes that you will be inspired to give dream creativity a whirl. The purpose and power within dream creativity lies in the process, not in the finished product. Working creatively to express a dream helps us to “sit” with the dream, to let the dream speak to us, and to uncover more of what the dream may be about. Dream creativity takes us beyond a conscious analysis of a dream’s contents into a realm of play, intuition and non-verbal expression.

This section will delve into decoding symbols which have appeared in dreams, using my dreams and the dreams of others, in order to help you get an idea of how rich and multi-faceted symbols are, and how much a single symbol can communicate to a dreamer. Symbols are “image-language." This section will help you to learn this language!
